220 NGOs to work together to keep Dhubri clean
As many as 220 NGOs of the district have pledged to work jointly towards making Dhubri district clean and hygienic. All the NGO’s have joined hands and formed a body named Dhubri District NGOs Coordination Committee (DDNCC). It was also informed that the 31-member committee would keep an eye on the work of all the 220 NGOs towards their drive to promote the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The members of the DDNCC, through the release, stated that all the NGOs in their committee are registered organisations, most of which are already engaged in works related to Swachh Bharat Mission in rural areas of Dhubri district. It was also mentioned that the committee was necessary to monitor, guide and properly implement all schemes under the mission.
The secretary of the committee, Moinuddin Ahmed said, “It is good to see that all the 220 NGOs have come together to carry forward the mission of making the district clean and beautiful.” He also added that all NGOs have come together and committed themselves towards 100 per cent implementation of the schemes of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Moreover NGOs would also carry out awareness drives for adoption of hygienic habits in their localities and nearby areas. The committee members hope that with this initiative and the proper implementation of all the schemes, Dhubri will be recognised as one of the cleanest districts in the nation.
